A little history on Golf Northland Inc.

Golf Northland Inc promotes and administers golf for the members of 25 clubs from New Zealands northern most club Houhora to Tapora in the south.

There is a long history of golf in Northland with the oldest clubs being Northern Wairoa and Whangarei, both founded in 1907.

Centralised administration began when The Northland Golf Association was incorporated in January 1951, followed by the Northland Ladies Golf Association in 1954.  The two Associations amalgamated in March 2006 to form Golf Northland.

Golf Northland is administered by a six member Executive Board , a Mens Committee and a Ladies Committee , details of which are located within the Executive Board tab on this website.

We have a very active Golf Development Manager ( GDM ) , Ms Bronnie Winter ,and she looks forward to working with and encouraging all current and potential Northland golfers. Her work and contribution to Junior Golf is invaluable for the future of this sport in our province.
